Note from NDU to CST validates importance of academic/industry exchange

Cascade Systems Technology (CST) was delighted to receive this thank you note from the National Defense University’s Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy (Microelectroncs Industry Study), which sent a cohort of Class of 2025 students to visit with us earlier this year. The note reminded us of what an enlightening and engaging time we had with our NDU colleagues.

During their visit with us, NDU’s students toured our cutting-edge facilities, engaged with both technical and management experts, and explored how advanced electronics and system technologies support national defense infrastructure. The visit also offered a meaningful opportunity to share CST’s story, showcase our capabilities, and highlight the critical role we play in several applications within our nation’s defense and technology ecosystem.

Just as important, our conversations touched on a wide range of important themes, including: supply chain reliability in defense ecosystems; career development in the tech industry; and how important it is that the U.S. maintains technological leadership in a world where success in both domestic security and on the battlefield increasingly rely on AI, semiconductors, and the countless electronic technologies (like CST’s) that empower and enable them.

All in all, it’s clear that the exchange was an example of how members of the tech community can and should help achieve academic excellence through exposure to real-world defense industry practice. Hosting the NDU students also reaffirmed CST’s commitment to playing a part in shaping the future of our nation’s defense.
